E10 fuel

I know our cars are supposed to run on the new fuel . Yesterday I took my 2005 2.5SE out for a run and filled up with what was indicated as E10 at a shell station. Car ran fine but then after stopping for lunch, and restarting the car the yellow engine light came on and stayed on. Car ran fine however. Havent had time today to read the codes yet but wonder whether it could be the new fuel which the engine is reading as some sort of defective product.
Has anyone else experienced this

I think it’s just an unfortunate coincidence, otherwise thousands of motorists would be getting engine lights appearing after using the e10 fuel

That’s the only thing I was thinking about today’s episode getting the new car home

Filled up with E10…

Ran fine for 40 miles before it started playing up
