DYNO TEST E89 N20 2013 STOCK.

Today i was testing my z4 stock, bmw says have 184 hp in the engine for my car sdrive 20i, and the dyno test says have 209 hp in the weel this is greath, the torque in the especification is 270 n.m and the results in the reality is 338.57. Somebody had similar results?

But your car is not a stock N20, you said in another post a few days ago you had an AC Schnitzer chip?? These values are about right for their chip.

209 at the wheels would mean it would have to be around 240bhp in the engine... no?

Just re-read and saw 20i, that's quite a difference in figures between BMW stock values and dyno. In my experience Dyno's aren't brilliantly accurate but I guess you're a happy man on that result.

Looking online there are quite a few N20 28i's (28i not 20i) with dyno results now, with rwhp between 220 and 250... quite a variance for stock engines, hence I tend to raise an eyebrow at most results. I recall talking to an Aston Martin engine tech not long ago, about taking mine on a dyno and he said take the results as a 'its around that somewhere' figure as each dyno can give different results as well as fuel and environmental factors playing a big part.

At the end of the day, as long as it 'feels' the power that you want, that's good enough. Paper figures always seem to vary.

I can't install the chip, is not available in colombia, I want import that, but the maximum octane number is 91 Ron here, so the chip doesn't works well, I test in the Dino before to the modifications than I will do, and I find this results, for that, I ask if any member had similar results whit the sdrive 20i.

I think something is happen, I say a Dino test in YouTube of the sdrive 28i and I saw the same results, and I search for similar results and find a Dino test of the 520 whit the same engine n20 sdrive 20i and the results are similar 208 hp, here the link, sorry for the language is Spanish.

Good result for a stock 2.0, BMW engines have a tendency to pump out more than what's on paper :)
Apart from the 35i

This is why AC Schnitzer don't publish dyno charts, it's a minefield. Our 28i made 235 at the wheels stock (bang in the middle of the range you quoted) and 284 once tuned. It's the increase that's important, not the absolute figures.

That can be truth, is important say the test in the same conditions, my test was made to 2600 meters above sea level, and 91 Ron fuel, if i test my engine to 0 meters above sea level maybe the results can be superiors, and 98 Ron fuel, look the torque results whit 338 nm that number is more near to 28i to the 20i.

I want buy the unit but I think than I should buy the unit for 28i?
Another thing is I ask for a adjust the unit to the fuel specification in colombia but I don have answer, too ac schnitzer is very slow with any question that is very sad.....
