So it's just been 2 weeks now and the Z4 is officially my new all time favourite (owned) car.
Earlier this week, I decided it was about time to get heavy with the right foot... At first I was a little miffed about an almost dampened performance, but literally minutes if not seconds later, it had gone.
The next time I drove it was fine. It was the just the other night, I had to do some motorway miles, and looking at the MPG (I reset it for the trip), my previous 38-45 was now more like 25-30, no matter how easy I went.
Very odd I thought, but soon found that easeing on and off the accelerator slowly over a distance of about 30 miles vastly improved the MPG!
So what gives? It's almost like the ECU is adapting to your driving style, or is this me just being a proper n00b here?
