dynamic damper control fault

Just got a warning, a picture of a damper and the code cd-id 180, looked up this code and come up with dynamic damper control fault. Its a 2009 35i with 27K miles

Anyone else had this
 
My 11 plate 35iS had this ... twice. They replaced the Apaptive suspension ECU both times.
 
I have an appointment at BMW, my car is under warranty however I have just replaced the Run Flats with non run flats and am concerned BMW will blame the non run flats, should I put the origional tyres back on until problem is sorted
 
I would put the run flats on if im honest, they will get out of not paying for anything if they can!

Or try and find a friendly dealer. :)
