Dynamic button

Clear difference in my 28i, for one thing I think the sound generator only kicks in in sport mode. Clear difference between sport mode using just the button and sport button plus gear stick to left as well.

With sport button + gearstick left, it's a lot of fun, makes a great noise including a wicked overrun when changing up, only down side is getting sub 20mpg round town.......

Is "Dynamic" not something to do with the adaptive suspension that I don't have? Rather than sport mode, which I do?

When the OP states dynamic he means the BMW Jargon 'Dynamic Drive Control' which to you and me is the normal/sport/sport+ button. Adaptive suspension is optional on all cars other than the 35is which has it standard. I have adaptive suspension, handy for the twisties.

I've only recently started experimenting switching between normal and sport. I assumed it just stiffened the suspension, but then I notice the engine sounds lounder in Sport - I'm not sure if thats psychological or not

It will only stiffen suspension on cars with the optional Adaptive M Suspension. It has no impact on the exhaust, but could sound louder due to the fact it may change engine/throttle mapping.

Hello twin :D Nice leathers!

Got an identical model to yours last month and I can without any doubt state there is a huge difference from comfort to sport mode, graceful to animal is a good analogy, the change in gear shift timings is obvious.

Hope this is isn't a fault.

:)

Going into sport mode feels like getting rid of a weight dragging behind the car or binding brakes suddenly being released. It's that dramatic! It's been the same for me on my current 28i and previous 23i.

If you don't get this, take it back of the dealer.

Sorry for late reply as I have been away. Looks like I have a faulty dynamic system I will have to take this back to the dealer to see what they think :( hey justcruzin nice colour choice :D
