DUXFORD Spring car show May 3rd 2015

Might not be attending this now, sadly :(

My rugby club got through to their national final and are playing at Twickenham on this Sunday... I have to be honest, I *think* I'd rather come to Duxford, but it's looking like I will be over-ruled. So I need to be a maybe now, and I will confirm either way ASAP.

:o That'll be a shame if you can't make it, twas a great day last year

It's not me you need to win over, it's Mrs B who wants a family day out and had forgotten about this. I really can't be assed sitting on a bus drinking, sitting in a pretty empty stadium, and hanging around waiting to leave afterwards. I hate buses. Rugby season ends in two weekends' time and I need a break. And the decision needs to be made by Wednesday :(

Currently feeling a bit grumpy about this...

I'll be there with the crowd from the BMW-Enthusiasts forum, been a member on there for a few years and they invited me first :poke:

Assuming I can find you chaps I'll pop on over.

I was hoping to come to this. And have my car sprayed and looking well good. But i cant make it and the car is not even started :(

Have fun everyone

I'm up for this if it's not too late?
Can confirm tomorrow, just need to see if I can take Annual Leave for the day.

You normally work on sundays?

I better not attend with my non Z 8)

I work 4 on 4 off, so yes I work 26 Sundays a year plus many Sundays on overtime.
Have booked a days Annual Leave to attend though.
A bit like me really. Thankfully when doing weekend work I can work from home as there is no user support over the weekend :) Also means I can get s**t loads done :)

I'll play it by ear on the parking zone front, but will of course be there in person to represent my Z4 roots and to say hi

JUST UNDER 2 WEEKS TO GO

I hope this doesn't cause anyone to drop out, after all its for the cars really, but I have been informed by Duxford today that the American part of the museum is closed till next year for redevelopment.

The gate opens at 9.30am so I will try and get there by then to direct people to our spot so as not to get confused and park up in the BMWCC pitch (which we might be next to anyway).

If anyone is willing to give me a hand directing people I would appreciate it  Hope the weather holds out for us.

Here's the email I received today.

Dear all

I hope you are all well and looking forward to Sunday 3rd!!

Just to give you some information for the day, gates will open at 9.30am, and will remain open for entry until 2pm. To try and reduce queuing on the A505 and to hopefully get everyone in quicker we have introduced a new queuing system, so please be aware it will not be the same as in previous years. Entry will be through the same Gate (Gate 1) which will be signposted from both directions. Please also note that due to the closure of the American Air Museum this year some pitches will not be in the same place as in previous years, as usual your members will be shown to their pitches on the day by our marshals

Entry costs will be £10.00 per adult and £5.00 per child (between the ages of 5- 15)

Please also note that Unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVS)/ Drones will not be allowed on site and anyone using one will be asked to leave.

Please let me know if you have any questions and I look forward to seeing you in a couple of weeks

Best wishes

Vickie

Let's hope there will be a lot of the museum open to view

As I believe it, its just the building that houses the American planes, the rest of the museum is open as per normal.

Are the South east lot happy to meet up at Maccy D's At Harlow again just off the M11 and then convoy up?

Works for me! Although if anyone is come from further South maybe we could add another meeting point earlier on and then drive to Harlow? Perhaps around Dartford if people are going that way?

What time is everyone planning to go?
