DUSTING DASH

I was sitting in the passenger seat of my daughters father in laws car the other day waiting for the ladies to come out of the house so we could go out for a meal. He drives quite an old 5 series but it is immaculate and he is very fussy about the interior. As we were putting the world to rights,he produced a soft good quality 1" paint brush that had never been used for painting from the door pocket and just started dusting all those intricate little nooks and crannies. You know the ones, like the radio and heater controls and air vents where you just tend to pile the dust up into a corner, I just thought what a bloomin good idea and I should share that ! All these years I have been trying to get into those fiddly bits with the corner of a yellow duster

The meguiars slide lock is a good brush for the above example, has an adjustable collar which tightens the bristles for different uses.

Oh, thank God. Ive been secretly using a 1 inch horsehair stiff paint brush to dust the nooks and cracks in my interior for years but hadnt said anything because it seemed a little obsessive compulsive. Glad I'm normal in that respect. Anybody else use your wifes maxi pads to clean the dash up against the windshield?

I saw on TV that allot of valet places use different types of makeup brushes for vents, joints etc.
I’ve tried with a few and it works well, normal paintbrushes should work as long as there not too hard. When I dust the car down I use one of the static dusters from Mr Muscle or
someone like that, they pick the dust up and keep hold of it well instead of just moving it around.
