This has been re-assigned to this weekend. The Scottish Borders run planned for this weekend has been moved to mid August.

This weekend will take around the “South West Coastal 300”, one of the new series of Scottish driving routes.

Accommodation is planned for a coastal hotel situated in rural Dumfries and Galloway for the Saturday night.

Its planned to start about 9:00 am and finish 5:00 pm each day with somewhere around 150-200 miles driving per day.

There will be two toilet stops as well as well as a scheduled lunch on both days.

Start point is likley to be near Moffat on the Saturday

A WhatsApp group will be set up for each run to allow pre run co-ordination and on the day(s) any short notice issues/emergencies etc, so you will need a smartphone with WhatsApp.

Hello everyone, just a note to say that we’ve taken the decision to defer the upcoming weekend bash to Dumfries and Galloway scheduled for March 2021 to later in the year.

Given some attendees need to plan ferries, we all need to sort out hotels and with, as I write today, a far from likely probability that either inter country or even intra country travel and hospitality will be allowed by the time we need to commit to various activities.

With the fact that there are several events planned for this year, rather than have a cascade of movements, we’ll just move each one (in turn if required) to be held at a future point this year once travel and hospitality have been re-opened.

We’ll give a minimum of 4 weeks’ notice for any deferments and similarly for any re-planned trips. It could get congested later in the year, but if at all possible, we plan to run all the 2021 planned calendar, even if they have to be scheduled close together later in the year.
Here’s an interesting article on what basis the Scottish Government will relax restrictions for those that are interested.

The date for this has been moved as a result of COVID impacts to October, The Scottish Borders run scheduled for this date has been moved to mid August 2021.

If you were on either list this has been deleted and please re-book as required.

Apologies for any issues caused by this.

Hi Peter, of course, would be inappropriate to have a non Zed on a Zed weekend..

And I still will have those guys whining on about how smooth straight sixes are :tumbleweed:

Hope you have a great time and I’ll be back if I find that perfect Zed

Unless of course as previously offered by following an hour behind and parking round the corner when we stop. Then we MAY still speak to you for defecting without even getting a Z4

Could you put me down for this, could kill 2 birds with one stone, could stay with friends in d@g and do the run !
Cheers Keith.

Hi Keith, no worries, so no hotel accommodation required?

If you can let me know Zed version and colour now and later need WhatsApp / passenger details extra, no rush

WhatApp group now set up.

Booking hotels in a couple of weeks time
