Dumfries and Galloway 1 Day meet, NEW DATE, SUNDAY 20th JUNE,2021

Hi folks,
NEW DATE FOR THIS,THAT WAS POSTPONED FROM MARCH,due to Covid

The Original Dumfries and Galloway drive that myself and others Before me have done over many years ,but with a few potential tweeks

A 1 Day Drive taking in some roads we have done before,and some we haven't.
Starting from South Ayrshire/Near Dumfries and Galloway,finishing in D&G,Taking in some good Driving Roads and enjoying some of what Dumfries and Galloway has to offer.

We have designated Toilet/Comfort Stops and an Organised Lunch stop.(with covid compliance in place)

At this moment we have to wait and see if there are any changes in Covid restrictions in the area,but all going well,we can have 12 cars.

Update, February 14th,21.....
Unfortunately we have had to take the decision to Postpone this meet until hopefully sometime later in the year.

This is due to ongoing Lockdown restrictions (as well as my car being out of action until about early May :thumbsdown:

Hopefully things will improve come May,if not sooner,and we can get a meet sorted :driving:
But as it stands,we can't travel out of our area just now in Scotland, so we need to wait until things are eased off enough to allow us to.

You haven't missed a Post,mate
I haven't posted anything on it,as keeping it off forum.

Let's just say,I won't know until end of April /early May what's what,as the garage its booked into down south,are 8 or 9 weeks ahead, for bookings :thumbsdown:

Ontop of car issues,i am having some family health issues too.
My Mum s not been keeping well of late and my Uncle,who i share a lot of hobbies with,is currently in hospital from last Thursday, after his Heart stopped.
So not good times at the moment.

I’m sorry to hear of your troubles, most especially the family health parts - the car is only nuts, bolts and money.

Once I know a few more details I will try and book some accommodation in the area and make more of it.

No worries.....looks like you have a Full calendar of commitments to runs already,Si ,but I had to cancel mine due to Covid etc,then wait for news on when my car will be ready,which didn't help.
And there's only some you times you can visit Scotland in one year,lol.
And that's without a Border control if the elections don't go the right way :rofl:
