I apologize bc I know this question has been asked a lot, I already googled it, and there seems to be a billion different answers. Which weight oil am I suppose to use on the 2.5i z4? and it takes 6.9qts?
Why is mobile 1 0w40 recommended but 5w30 for castrol??
Also, why a once a yr oil change? is it the engine that is engineered that way? I use full synthetic on my scion and don't ever go over 7k without changing the oil. Thanks for the input

5-30 is the grade recommended by BMW ( fully synthetic) and I change mine every 6,000
Thanks! my next question: does the oil have to be made in Germany like I've been reading on some posts?

Yes, also the mechanic needs to speak fluent German, or at least as a second language

well think I got the answer I'm looking for. I'm gonna stick with 5w30 synthetic oil. Breandwise, maybe castrol, Mobil 1 or whatever is on sale at advance auto parts
