Dull Interior and rattles

Since I have decided to keep my car for a while I am looking for ways to improve the interior.

The first issue is with the glovebox. I have already removed the passenger cupholder because it rattled but the glovebox also does and I cant work out what it actually is. It does annoy me although less so since I changed to the Pilot ZPs. Has anyone managed to stop theres rattling and if so what did they do?

Second issue is relatively minor but the interior is a bit dull. Im not after anything garish/pimp my ride but the combination of black with silver trim isnt really setting my world alight. Has anyone modified the interior and if so what did they do? I was thinking of removing the silver trim and wrapping it in a contrast colour and possibly a partial retrim on the seats to match.

Any ideas?

What interior do you have, mine was black with brushed Aluminium which I wasn't keen on so managed to get hold of a set of OEM Carbon Fibre Leather which I love

Black with brushed ali, its ok, relatively inoffensive but like you not keen.

Im not sure the carbon fibre would improve it, isnt it just black with more black? Do you have a picture at all?

not the best pic in the world but

I like dark interiors, even in my 1er I would have gone for gloss black if it were an option, but best I could do was brushed ali, so it may get wrapped.

Its better than the standard ali, but its a bit dark for my tastes still.

How easily does the ali trim come off? I am thinking of polishing it

dash is easy, just remove vents and radio and release the clips and screw, 30 mins tops. centre console requires the centre console to be removed to undo the 3 screws that hold it in place.

mine in the 1er is brighter than the Z'd and even with a roof if the sun shines on it it's a bugger and it's only a couple of inches high not like the Z'd
