Anyone know the car or anything about it? As I understand it all YF cars were BMW registered and this one was a demonstrator.

Any feedback welcome.

Thanks

Not always YF but most recent management cars would be registered as Y*.

YF is Leeds and this one is for sale in Leeds so it could have been registered by Scotthall Leeds and then someone else in Leeds bought in and traded it to this garage.

Most starting 'Y' are ex-BMW cars. That can be demonstrator, management, fleet, etc. Hence there are so many of them! Mine is YJ, and it's an ex demonstrator.

Nice motor! Pretty much the same spec as mine apart from mine has the champagne leather. Mine is a YF registered car, from what I understand, most YF plate cars are management cars being registered at the Thorne distribution centre up there.

Cheers all! Should really have introduced myself before picking your brains :)

I'm John, from Ireland and currently driving a Clio V6 255. I adore the clio but after 3 years (longest I've ever kept a car) I'm ready for a change.

Now...who wants to sell me some CSLs? :P

CSLs look amazing on the coupe, especially in Imola red  Don't work as well on the roadster for me but all down to personal choice.

car looks amazing and im very jealous. however the ad states 19" alloys. you do realise they are 18" dont you?

and as above, csl's on that beast will look amazing !

Don't know the car but it looks to have been kept as a 'second' or 'third' car by its owner otherwise the mileage would be much higher?

Check it has had an oil change service once every two to three years regardless of the low mileage and if it hasnt been serviced at the two year point use this as a point of negotiation as it is not in line with the schedule strictly speaking.

It had an Oil service around 4k miles and apparently the brake fluid was done at the same time....that's not really normal is it??

Thats fine, it could quite legitimately have only covered 4k in two year (I am presuming this particular service took place when the car was around two years old?)

DONE!

Quick question, the car is equipped with DSP which sounds great with either Radio or the in-dash CD Player however the CD Changer sounds awful. Really tinny as if it's only coming out of 2 speakers...

This isn't normal...is it? I've been looking through the manual and don't see any settings relating to this. Am I missing anything?

Cheers
John

I'd say there was a wiring / connection problem somewhere between the CDC and the head unit. Get the seller to have it fixed.
