[DUDE] Pinout halogen pre, xenon pre, & bixenon rest

Hi every

Currently I have halogen headlights in prefacelift, and I am going to mount restyled bixenon headlights.

Been taking a look at post of @mac27040 and in one of them there was a DIY of yours in pdf, but it is no longer available.

I also wanted to know if my halogen headlights have the same pinning as a xenon prefacelift.

Pin outs are not the same. The xenon has an extra wire to trigger the solenoid for the shutter if memory serves me correctly.
There are other differences as well such as the auto level to be aware of.
I'm sure it can be and has been done though

But the xenon pre facelift, has a xenon bulb for low beam, halogen for high beams, and bulb for position. Shouldn't it have the same pins as halogen if it works the same as halogen prefacelit?

dont think you can swap from halogen to bi-xenon, you need to for MOT have self leveling controls for xenons too, swap over the LCM as well

I already have a new LCM, and the levelers, so I wanted to know the pinout of the pre halogen headlight, and the pre xenon headlight. I've looked at the schemes you eat me but I don't understand them.

I have NCS expert to be able to code myself and pasoft, so there would be no problem in that sense.

Pin 8 of the prestyled xenon headlights, what function does it have? It has no logic, if the xenon are the low beams and the halogens are hight beams.

Xenon isn’t just low beam, on prefacelift models xenon is low beam and high beam, halogen is flash to pass. On facelight the xenon does low & high beam and flash to pass.

Guess the pin 8 is for the xenon shutter motor

I have a 3.0i prestyled and i mounted bixenon restyled

PRE-FACELFT WIRING

1. RAIN SENSOR
2. LOW BEAM
3. HIGH BEAM
4. SIDE LIGHT
5. HAZARD
6. HAZARD
7. INDICATOR
8. BI XENON or empty if you have halogen


FACE LIFT
1. RAIN SENSOR
2. LOW BEAM
3. SIDE LIGHT
4.

6. HAZARD

its very easy, you move i your connector: pin4 to pin3, and the pin 3 to pin 8. pin 4 is finally empty
If you have a xenon prestyled, move pin 8 to pin4, this pin its empy.

With NCS expert coding your FA or V.O $522 for xenon, and sg codieren from ALSZ/LZM
