DTC button not working?

Hi all,

Went out for a drive in the snow and noticed the DSC light come on a few times keeping me in good shape. As things were very slippy I tried pressing the DTC button to turn DTC on.

I didnt get any lights on the instruments to indicate the mode had changed. I also tried holding the button down for 3 secs to see if I would see the DSC/DTC lights on indicating II had disabled them but nothing.

Broken button maybe? Not sure if it matters but the button itself is not illuminated.

Any ideas? I just got it so its under warrenty
 
When you turn the ignition on, all warning lights should flash before the engine starts to show they are working. I think it's position 1.
 
Sorry if this seems daft, are you pressing the button hard enough?

Im giving it a good push. Booked it in the garage. Unlucky I had to find out it was'nt working after I got stuck ! :P

Does your button illuminate?
 
On mine it only lights up when it is pressed and also briefly lights up when i turn on the ignition,hope that is of some help :thumbsup:
 
One push in the DSC button should light up DTC in the instrument lights within the rev counter. I had mine on DTC for some fun on the icy roads last night :)

No, but wish it did, kinda dark down there sometimes. Toggles through the modes just fine though. Gives me an idea for another little project I don't have time for.
 
Hi all,

<Update>

Got it looked at under the warrenty and it turns out it was a broken wire. They didnt say what had caused it, However I notice the previous owner has had an ipod cable fitted in the glovebox so I wander if something was 'nudged' when that was fitted.

Anyway DTC working now 8)
