Dtc and handbrake light

I'm driving and the handbrake and dynamic stability light beeps as comes on in yellow. I'm currently half way through a motorway ride and still have a long while to go. Think I might have pressed the FTC button while putting the roof down accidentally.
Is there some way to reset it or is there something seriously wrong? Bit worried about going back on the motorway.
 
That combination means there is a problem with the DSC system. Yellow colour means it is OK to drive with reasonable care, but the system may not be able to assist you with stability issues. You should get it checked soon, but it's not an emergency. I would drive on the motorway in this condition, unless it were icy or something.
 
Another one ! let us know if it resets when you switch the engine of , all systems normal . my lights come on when the cars crawling at less than 5 mph . As bcworks says car drives fine ,however be gentle with the throttle especially on wet an oily patches .
 
It seemed to reset after I lowered and raised the roof at the services. Then all back to normal, not sure if there could be a latent issue though.
 
Huh, that's odd. Cannot think of two systems any more unrelated! It's certainly a relief to not have nagging trouble lights illuminated, even with the nagging fear it may return.

Be sure your battery is healthy. Some have been able to reset this condition by disconnecting the battery. If operating the roof had the same effect... :?
 
Vanilll are you sure you didnt switch the ignition of at the garage ? Dropping and raising the roof wouldnt reset the lights ,even with a duff battery .
 
I have the same problem, it is intermitten tho. I took it in last saturday because the fault occured but when i drove it to the garage it failed to come on. They tested it and cleared the fault off the memory and couldnt get it to fault again. It did for me as i drove away from the garage so my car is now booked in with Autologic in Hessle in the morning. The mechanic told me it is one of the brake pressure sensors that is located on the Brake fluid reservoir. The sensor is showing that there is 11 bar pressure applied to the brake pedal when it was put on the diagnostic machine and should register zero. Hope this rectifies my problem, i will post a reply to let you know.

I haven't had the problem again but do you think it's worth trying to get the pressure sensors checked then? I just hate going to the mechanics, they always try and check extra stuff and tell you extra problems.
 
Could have been any number of things causing the lights, though pressure sensors are at the top of likely candidates list. The error codes should still be stored and can be pulled with INPA or DIS, but honestly, I would wait until the lights returned myself. If there's a real problem, they will return.

about 8 weeks for me and no lights, as bcworkz says if its need replaced the car will let you know.
