DSP - Coax to non-coax amp - advice?

I have DSP with navigation. I have the dsp amp in the boot and have the speakers behind my seats. I have navigation so have the grey headunit, but I did buy the modern black one that supports mp3's but not the nav version and that appeared to work well from what I remember.
Yeah it is interesting I don't have coax, I dunno why, I did a bit of research as I bought a dice adapter thinking I needed it but no.
My amp looks like your original one with the fuse and the coax port.
 
does it actually have a coax plug in the coax hole (in the amp i mean.. as my new one has the hole, but no plug)

so... um.. fancy an amp swap and save me a headache? 8)

I know the pinouts are identical for each amp.. the only difference is the inclusion/exclusion of the coax plug

Did your old setup have a coax running from your cd changer to your amp?


I also don't have a coax between cd changer and amp (and yes, I have the dsp professional with nav), and I have tried a coax connection, but it didn't work. (the coax cable was fine, I measured continuity)

So I'm curious what coding has to be done to switch the cd changer amp input from analog to coax.
 
Slightly off topic but does anyone know what each lead is which in the block that plugs into the amp? Im interested to find out which are the front speakers etc.

yeah, it had coax.
There's no coding / option in SSS that I can find.. I just assume it relies on the headunit telling the amp which signal to use, which it would likely detect from the ground/pos feed into it from the cd changer (or not in the case of coax).

I'm sure I'll find out in the next day or so!

I Have found one broken tweeter so far (which caused my amp to break) so hopefully wont find anymore nasty suprises along the way.
