DSC unit ?

Down between the engine and the brake fluid reservoir, back of the engine bay on the drivers side - square box IIRC with thin metal pipes going into it. Says 'DSC' on the top

nah - although it does make me think about bashing it with a hammer (the dsc - not the car)

mine has the dashboard lights on to say its broken, my local garage says it cant be fixed, I got another one from on here (it turns out to be the wrong one) the garage has since given me the correct model number im looking for , I cant find one anywhere - they are £1600 at BMW ....

when the garage had the car on friday - the power steering, brakes and speedo are no longer working properly

oh and the new roof motor fitted last week - sounds like its a million years old and the garage is now saying it may need another new one ...(?)

so i wanted to have a look at it in situ - i have an auto electrician coming to look at the dsc some time next

Feck, that is a pile of bad luck happenings

Really hope you find a way to get it all sorted...

Mine is in for a potential new rear hub this week - no idea what that will cost, but I am frightened

thanks - hopefully it wont be too much

which eibach springs did you buy - how much did they lower the car and do they rub ?

The pro kit (black) - though I got them second hand. I had the M Sport suspension already (15mm lower than standard) and the Eibachs Dropped the car another 15mm or so. Maybe a bit more - didn't measure before and after

On the front - passenger side not much, drivers side has gradually worn through the edge of the arch liner. I just gaffer-tape it up every two weeks and it doesn't get worse :P

I have 15mm spacers on ; suspect if I only had 10mm (or none) I wouldn't get any rubbing. Some have solved it by putting the arch liner behind the bumper instead of in front of it.

Some, if not most people, have no issues at all. I have a theory that the wing on mine has been damaged at some point and when it was re-shaped it was completed a few mm out of whack which is why the drivers side rubbing is so much worse than the passenger side. My brother reckons I am just a fat b*stard... Though he has a slightly less scathing theory that people take left hand corners harder than right, and so the suspension takes more of a beating on the drivers side.

I am probably just unlucky though, and the springs were used when I got them anyway. Give it a go
