DSC pump error

Hey All, I have the DSC pump error with the lights on my dash. I bought a replacement unit (with working pump) to have the DSC pump taken on and put onto my unit but the shop I took it to changed the whole unit over and then changed the DSC pump and valve body connected together of the one I bought (which has errors on the valve body) but not the pump by itself.

They told me the pump is fixed onto the valve body and not able to be changed over (despite me showing people doing it online etc). Question is - has anyone here managed to change over just the pump? I still have errors (although now connected to the valve body as the shop ended up putting the whole new unit I provided into the car). Keen to hear from anyone who’s been through this. Frustrating as I know I have one good pump and one good valve body/electric part (from the unit that was on my car) but they’re not connected 😅

They also told me that the unit I provided has over 500k km on it when they were doing the coding.

Ps the car is an 07 coupe (with tabs holding down the DSC pump).

Do you man the ABS pump that sits on the offside below the brake servo.?
Yes the pump motor is swaged onto the valve body. Material has to be removed to release the motor - which often fails for seized brushes. The motor can be refitted usually bonded back into place and / or secured by tapping the valve body and inseting a bridge piece with screws.
Provided the computer is not replaced no recoding is required. If you replace the Motor/pump/computer assembly then it has to be recoded.
