DSC overly sensitive / early activation

Has anyone suffered DSC coming on early, when the car is not losing traction?

In my case on fast sweeping right handers it just suddenly starts to activate the rear breaks. On sweeping left handers it’s ok.

The car has good Dunlop tyres, non runflat.

I changed the RTABs and all the front wishbones, bushes, track rods and a new steering column and angle sensor but none of that helped.

The car had a proper 4 wheel alignment and all wheels are point the right way.

We have had the car ten years, I know what it ‘can do’ and whee DSC intervened previously. I am not doing anything mental just trying to take a motorway corner at speed.

Anecdotally it seems worse on brand new tyres and gets better as they wear out. Usually when they are bald it’s not so bad :p

At this point I have no errors and it all works other than this. It is clear is INPA/ISTA.

My sensors read out ok but driving and monitoring four speed sensors while taking a corner is not safe or easy.

Any idea please?

I would be suspecting either the yaw sensor or a wheel speed sensor. Sometimes you get corrosion around the wheels speed sensor and it physically contacts the sensor under certain circumstances like going around a corner.

As per the other thread recently people were chatting rubbish about sensors n what not and it turned out to be my correct diagnosis of the abs ring rubbing on the abs sensor. Ive had 3 z4s this year that have done the same thing can be fixed with a 5p washer

Thanks for the spacing suggestion, I’ll see if I can pop them out!!

I reset Yaw sensor and it looked ok in INPA but often we don’t know what we are looking for!

I probably should have loosened the front sensors while I was replacing hubs but fingers crossed.

Will report back :)
