DSC light on

HI all, the DSC light (amber) came on when I was just sat in traffic. The amber brake warning light came on at the same time I assume they come on together? Any ideas on what may be the problem is or do I have to get a diagnostic check?
Any help is appreciated

Hi there Steve,

I've got a very similar issue (except the ABS light) came on as well. Are the lights still on?

Could be the ABS pump needs some attention, or could also be a wheel speed sensor.
 
Hi again I borrowed and obd reader from the mechanic at work and tried to read the codes. I couldn't get it to do much so I tried various things without putting the cars details in and I couldn't get very far. So I gave up I then started the car and no warning lights?! Went out for a drive and still no lights, I am happy that the lights have not stayed on but I guess they may come back again!!

Could be numerous issues. You need to get it plugged into a proper diagnostics that can read the codes from the DSC module (so one designed to work with the BMW Canbus system), they'll be stored in the memory despite them no longer being lit up.
