DSC/ABS Trifecta + No speedo

Had it at The Workshop for a PPI and a quick look at the DSC, they confirmed no connection to the DSC module.
I have it booked in again with them in 2 weeks (busy shop) to further look into diagnosing the ABS issue. But a chat did seem to point towards a dead module, or potentially another random issue like a bad earth etc

I’m wondering weather its worth picking up a matching second hand module (I’ve found one local for £200), get that checked and refurbed at ECU testing preemptively then use the slot in 2 weeks to install the working module?

It would be tricky for me to remove and send my own module away myself due to my parking/limited workspace situation, It’d also hopefully resolve my issues sooner, as I have an MOT test looming which I will obviously fail with current issues. Being my only vehicle, it is a factor to consider.

Is this a reasonable plan, or am it too eager to diagnose it as the module?

Apologies to keep adding to this thread; with a potentially dumb question:

My DSC module has a of P/N:
3451-6769162-02
The one I’ve found has:
3451-6769162-01

Identical, apart from that final 01 vs 02. Does this matter? Struggling to find an answer elsewhere

Bad news from the garage, I had my unit sent off for repair - it even made it the R&D department; but it has been deemed irreparable.
They have quoted £1400 for a brand new unit fitted (obviously out of the question)

I have purchased a second hand unit, but the garage have said they’re not able to fit customer supplied parts - and I’d have to look elsewhere to get it installed and coded.
Any recommendations in Leeds/Yorkshire?

Or has anyone had experience coding a new abs unit to their car?

[ref]bigwinn[/ref], in Lincoln, or [ref]street[/ref], in Newcastle would be my first ports of call.

Thanks Street
Finally got my car back
My main concern with installing the unit is the coding side, what software is needed (I have a laptop and cable, with ISTA installed) and is it a tricky job?
Any info or help would be appreciated

Update:
Got the new to me DSC unit installed and coded by a great place called Fixed Automotive in Stockport, I spoke directly with James and would highly recommend.

Victory - communication is back with the module along with speedo and other problems that came with no wheel speed are solved. The car feels much much better to drive - very happy.

It has however uncovered that I still need a new Yaw sensor as the original trifecta persists - disappointingly expensive for a facelift yaw sensor, but its progress at least and necessary to pass my MoT
