Dry iced and mildly modded

Finally got my ideal spec M roady done, always wanted to get one like this.
Mods:
OEM front strut brace
Vibratechinic engine mounts
RTAB limiters
Supersprint X pipe with powerloop back boxes
KWV3 street coilovers
AP 6 pot front 4 pot rear bbk vapour blasted back to the original raw ally non painted.
OEM CSL’s with new MPS4 boots
Fully cleaned by dry ice blasting underneath.

No upgrade bushes yet, we’ll see how it feels when it’s done some miles.

That's awesome! Apologies for being crass but how much did the dry ice clean cost? I'd be sorely tempted to do it myself!

Looking great. Do you still have your black one as well that you were cleaning up?

Cheers Ed,

I did the dry icing myself. I take it when you say do it yourself you mean get it done somewhere as it's not a diy job, I'm going to be doing it as well the soda and vapour blasting. It's pretty expensive tbh, unfortunately with energy costs as they are the cost of ice has more than doubled, it's now £3 a kilo, and I used 200 kilo on the M, so you're looking ballpark at £1400 for a thorough clean underneath and wheel arches.

Thanks for the reply - yep I meant get someone to do it, not do it myself! Fair chunk of cash but the result is fantastic, so quite a tempting proposition!

Cheers

I think how someone needs to look at it is how long are they going to keep the car because dry icing is the best way to clean, it's superior to hot water, doesn't dry bushes out, doesn't affect electrics either, it gives the perfect base to apply, say, lano guard etc, as well as get the underneath clean for any rust issues to be addressed.

Thanks for sharing this john-e89  . Had never heard of dry icing. Looking at this random YT video, it’s doing wonders!
