Drought???

Must be the wettest drought since records began!

I cycle on a cycle path near the river Severn to work and took this pic this morning. The river is usually 6ft back from here and 4ft lower! Seeing as it is meant to peak tomorrow, I don't think I will be using that path on the way home! :P

  I think we've gotten more rain since they announced the drought than the whole time I've been here.

Never understood though, why people complain more about a hosepipe ban when its raining. You're not going to wash the car anyway and your garden is getting all the water it needs. :tumbleweed:

Guy form Anglian Water on local news last night, stating that he understands that's its rained for a month, that in the previous 24 hours we'd had the equivalent of 3 week's rain in 24 hours, but that it would have to rain like this for another 3 months before they can review the draft. Great, that's summer screwed. :headbang:

Why not? Even worse as it needs more washing as it is raining and gets more filthy.

Take your sunglasses off :D

Sorry, in a stupid mood tonight. I am going to cut my hairs now...

For the record though, it is now raining here in Kent again too. Agree with PVR, it's when the rain takes a break and I want to clean the car I get pissed with the hosepipe ban. It takes to damn long now, I get bored halfway through...

Why wash the car when its going to get rained on again a few hours later?

For me it's to remove the muck, oil, grease, salts etc that's all over the car. And because I take pride in the appearance of my car :poke:

My car goes straight back in the garage and might stay there for a week or so. Would want it to be clean and not start eating at brake pipes etc ...

My Z4 stays outside so it's getting cleaned as we speak! :P

For me it's a car and it's designed to be driven. I think I have waxed my Z4 once in 2 years! Unless the car is bone dry, it can do more harm underneath in a garage than outside!

That Land Rover add was a good one where it was caked in mud then the rain cleaned it! :P
