DRL's on their own

I had an idea that before the security update my DRL's came on their own but now the rear tail lights are also on ( not the number plate lights though )
This morning a passed a Zed with just the DRL's on. So which is it?
Personally I don't like the rears on too
 
I was under the impression that the security update was supposed to disable the ability to drop the windows with the door lock? Not sure about the lights though, will check when I get home tonight.
 
The rears on mine have always come on. - before and after the security update.

Maybe you just didn't notice?? :D :poke:
 
In a e86/86 its just a matter of coding - you can have taillights on or off with drl's, so probably in e89 its the same.

And mine do too. Am interested to know whether anyone else can drop the windows from the door lock post the security update? I thought this was the one of the main defences against the spate of thefts using key programming? I.E. Force lock to drop windows and reach in to OBDC port without triggering alarm.

Yes, I can still drop the windows with the double click of the fob (after security update). :thumbsup:
 
Sorry, I am referring to the physical door lock, with the key rather than via the fob button. I have read on several forums that it is disabled as part of the upgrade?
