Hello All,

just about to get my new Z4, its a 2009 so just one quick question..

do the angel eye rings run all the time if you have the lighting set to automatic? in the same way as DRL's? or do you have to have the switch set to side lights to get this behavior?

also - is there anyway of making the external lights come on when you unlock the car?

There's a setting to have them on for daytime, they will be on all the time if this is checked.

Have you got idrive?
 
If on auto, the daytime running lights will only come on if you select it in idrive, and they will stay on all the time. I have turned mine off, and just the headlights are on auto....so either on or off....I like the bright white headlights on when they need to be,,,l

Like a lot of BMW's now, the lights still stay on in morning sunshine......

- yes. I think that this is the comfort option (tick box in i-drive) plus the headlight switch set to auto.

Halos, tail lights, number plate lights etc etc will come on when you unlock. great for a dark garage! 8)
 
Yep it's in there. One of the things I really like about the iDrive, it's so easy to go through all the settings :)
