Driving to the French Alps

P.S. have a great time!

As others have said, buy your Swiss vignette in advance and check the AA site for a list of all the crazy crap you have to keep in your car when driving in France... :-)

A hi vis vest for each person in the car
and a warning triangle, that's it.

The breathalyser law had been eased and isn't being enforced.

Sounds like a great trip. I've done this route a few times, (although not in a Zed) and stopped in Reims and Arras on the way down.
Then stopped in Geneva and Annecy and round to Montreux. Then on (back into France) to Bozel and Courchevel.

French Motorways are much better than ours in that people actually get out of the way. However as BillyB said, some people will just pull out to get past another car and it leaves you stuck to their rear bumper.

Some great roads further south you go. Hope you have a fantastic time.

Let me know if you make it to Switzerland. I'll definitely have my Zed by then! I could show you a number of beautiful spots and epic Alpine driving. We should try and rope a few other forum members as well and Zed-voy across the Alps. :)

That sounds like an offer I could not possibly refuse....

Thanks....
