Having just commented on driving hates, though nah, my glass is half full... so what makes you smile when out driving... here's a few to start.

1. Sexy chic driving a Zed, top down .... (& roofless)
2. Sexy chic driving another convertable...
3. An acknowledging good taste nod from another Zed owner as ya pass, no flashing lights or arm thrashing...
4. Bad but true, someone else getting pulled over by the Rozzers in a MARKED car, thinking how the hell did they not spot that & how lucky I am that there's unlikely to be another around soon if I hoon it (just a little)
5. Clear bit of A road on a sunny day...

ok, can't cover everything...

I love it when you get new joyful experiences in the zed; two epiphanies I had yesterday:

- Being stuck stationary in a traffic jam is not a bad place to be when you have roof down, sunny day, great tunes on the stereo and a comfortable seat. A great opportunity to chill out.
-travelling at 70mph (ahem) in a sudden rainstorm with roof down is not a problem unless you slow down - you don't get wet!

All of Jembo's loves  , plus -

That moment early in the morning on quiet roads when you cross the line between a 30 and the national speed limit, nothing ahead and the first bend just far enough in the distance to ensure you'll be at Warp Speed 5 as you reach it ... Closely followed by leaving the moment behind in a roar of straight six as you push the loud pedal to the floor. Beautiful 8)

Loved it today two little six or seven year olds on bmx,s stopped their bikes one pointed and said wow ! the other shouted oh so cool i grinned all the way home ! future petrolheads ! love em they made my day from the mouth of babes ! isnt that what they say ? other thing i really love is when someone doesnt move over even though the outside lane is free on the motorway / dual carriageway and you just stick the hammer in and blast in front of them then seeing their cheesed off usually audi/vw/vauxhall faces ha ha ha

Travelling around a bend or leaving a town and seeing a wide open, undulating bendy road ahead and not a single car in front of you.
Or as above, and a car in front actually surprising you and doing a sensible pace and not holding you back.

Finally, overtaking a 40mpher in a NSL, then forcing them 30 through a 30 zone, before unleashing 250bhp in 2nd the instant you pass the NSL sign at the end of the town.

Any time the roof is down :D

Coming out of a 30 zone with a clear road in front - in 2nd gear, full throttle :D

Blipping the throttle whilst downshifting into a sweeping bend, clear road, nailing the apex and getting back on the throttle.

The list goes on.... :driving:

Getting a corner 'just perfect' is a fantastic feeling that can really make you smile!

- When chicks stare at me driving by
- When ricers pull next to me on a highway or at a stop light wanting to start sh** (usually civics and integras). Game on :driving:. Beat them. Their faces when -> :x  :headbang: :fuelfire:

No shortages of loves when it's just me and the road. What really surprises me is when other drivers do something thoughtful and considerate. Rare occurrence unfortunately. Like coming up to slower traffic, and they move far enough over for you to clearly see it's safe to overtake, then as you overtake, they slow to make it easier for you. (That last bit wasn't necessary, but thanks anyway.)

Or when a car slows to enter from a side road ahead, and you just KNOW they're going to turn out in front of you... but they don't!

And one time, when approaching the entrance to an epic twisty canyon road, (where I would almost kill for a clear road ahead) I was completely astounded when a small group of sport bikes waved me by to go first. Respect!
