drivers wiper not wiping correctly

Had a new windscreen fitted a few weeks ago and re-attached my bosch aerotwin wipers. The drivers side wiper appeared to have a greater arch than previously and therefore was not wiping all rain off for the first 3 or 4 inches near the arch. I purchased new bosch aerotwins this morning but I still have the same problem. You can see the arch and the blade not sitting properly. My wiper arms appear to be alligned correctly though if someone thinks otherwise, say so. I guess I need to mess around with the wiper-arm! Do I need to bend my wiper-arm further to seat the blade on the glass? Or should I straigthen the wiper-arm?

Not wiping properly.

Spring's knackered on the wiper arm?
Its obviously not pressing the wiper onto the screen hard enough, I'd hazard a guess they may have stretched it when changing the windscreen :)

I'll have a look tomorrow but the spring seemed fairly rigid when I looked at it this morning. And when the windscreen was changed, I removed wipers, trim, etc myself and was pretty careful. Do the springs stretch over time I wonder?

Ahh, cool :) I wouldn't have thought you could have bent the arm whilst taking it off as you'd probably see the paint cracked now, they must stretch a little over time as any part that relies on elastic strength must deteriorate eventually.
I don't even know if this is possible, I can't say I've taken much notice of mine, but is it possible to switch the wiper arms over? Where the passenger wiper sits is much more curved than where the drivers' side sits so it might not matter if the wiper blade isn't being pushed down as hard, just a thought :)

Might be worth having a play with swapping wiper arms though I think they are specific to the side they are on.

In case, it helps anyone else, I was able to bend the wiper arm slightly downwards and that fixed the problem. Took a couple of go's as it seemed impossible to bend the arm on the car but it does bend ever so slightly. Luckily I had an extra weetabix for breakfast !!

Just get a new spring and fit in the arm when you get time. It will give a much better wipe, especially as you've lost the aero bit off the oem wiper and they tend to lift anyway at speed.
