drivers window

My drivers side widow is starting to make a grinding crunching sound when going up. Is that the start of the window regulator failing??

Sorry to say IMO almost definately
Get it sorted before it fails - sods law says it goes with window down

100% that's it. Cable will be fraying and splitting and only a few more cycles before it simply fails totally
As obewan says, probably when it's down (as the most strain is closing it..)
