drivers window stuck... won't go up

Tricky the first time a 5 minute job the next
managed to find some info and get the window up. i opened it up again today to have a look (took me 5 min this time ). i used some wd40 and it's a little better, but it's still making "cruching" noises... a bit like the crunch noise paper makes. couldn't see anything though. any ideas what it could be?

Just a head up if it is your regulator. I am just about to replace mine that snapped and have ordered it from Joe @ Soper BMW Lincon for £106.27 delivered compared to £125 odd at all my local stealers

Just a head up if it is your regulator. I am just about to replace mine that snapped and have ordered it from Joe @ Soper BMW Lincon for £106.27 delivered compared to £125 odd at all my local stealers

Ali_Z4C, thanks! All symptoms seem to indicate a faulty regulator.
From what I've read it seems to be the clips that are failing and although BMW don't sell them seperately you can get aftermarket ones on ebay for a few quid...

It defo wasn't the clips on mine as when I took the door card off it was obvious that one of the "figure of 8" wires of the regulator had snapped and the window wasn't going up or down. If you can see its the clips on yours and not a snapped wire then its probably worth a punt to save yourself a few quid!
