Drivers window not shutting the last 2 inches, please help!

Opened my window on the way to work today and when I tried to close it it wont go all the way up. When I open/close the door it still does the thing where it moves the window a tiny bit to allow for the seal on the roof. My car is now sat in the works car park and it looks like it's going to rain! Any ideas?!
 
Do the reset thing by opening and holding the button for ten secs then closing and holding , I think it's that way. There is a faq on it.

Try Ignition to position 1
Hold down button till window is fully down
Press down button a further 4 times
Hold up button until window is fully closed
Press down button to open window a few inches
Press up to close window

No joy! The regulator is making some nasty noises so unfortunately its looking like I will have to get a new 1 fitted this weekend :x £167inc VAT from rybrook BMW in Warwick!
 
That's an excellent price for a fitted regulator from a dealer. I bought the regulator alone from Sopers and that cost something like 140.

That was just the cost of the new regulator, not fitting!

Am i right in thinking there is a contact at sopers will sort out forum members with a discount?
