drivers side window

My drivers side window has a nasty rattle. The mechanism works properly however when the window is down or up it appears to be loose.

Is something behind the door card likely to be loose or more unfortunately broken?

Ive just had the door card off and checked the screw as described in the thread that swiftly linked me to and it was nice and tight. I then noticed that all of the screws securing the motor were in place were loose so ive just tightened these up and the window still has play in it!

So i was scratching my head a little until i noticed that the metal runner/guide was very loose and it looks as though it should be fixed to the bottom of door?!

Any ideas?

Heres a PDF link for window removal for fitting a new window regulator. Might give you a better idea as it looks likes there is supposed to be screws holding the bottom in according to the PDF.

Sorted it! It turns out that several bolts and screws had worked their way loose over time causing the play in the window so i thoroughly went through the whole setup and tightened them all and bingo, a smooth rattle free window!

Finished the day off with a thorough clean and a few shots with my mates compact :D
