Driver's Side Window Fix! HELP

Right so was out today in the Z4 and decided i'd park in a multi storey and do some shopping, pushed the button to wind the window down and half way through i hear a snap sound and and the window stops. Damn thing doesn't work anymore, can hear the motor when i push the button. I have a buggered window and the only way to close it is to lift up with both hands.

Anyone know where i can get this fixed or is this an easy fix where i need to take the door panel off?

Help would be very much appreciated.
 
Might be worth moving your question to the right section E85 - E86 Problems for more responses.

Almost certainly the window regulator has gone. If you pull the door card off I'm sure you'll find a ragged wire wrapped around things. If you do a search there are a number of threads covering this :thumbsup:
