Drivers side door alignment

Hello peeps,

I've been having issue with my driver's side door lock. It requires a huge amount of travel before the lock disengages. Also as can be seen by the photo the door appears to be sitting slightly inboard, leading to an edge on the bodywork, where it should be flush.
Anyone know if it's possible to adjust the door alignment?

Many thanks in advance

Maybe try and adjust the Striker plate outwards

Many thanks for that, I'll be honest I never knew that this was something that you could adjust!
I had a look at it tonight and with a bit of trial and error I managed to get the striker plate into a position which allows the door to sit flush and the handle doesn't require as much travel too! Win win
I made a point of putting loctite onto the countersunk torx bolts before tightening them in place.
:D
