Driver's seat squeaking noise.

Hi all! I bought my Z4 last June, the car has 80.000km on the clock so it is quite acceptable that there will be some squeaking noises dew to usage.I have treated all the car's annoying sounds but one. This sound is coming from the driver's seat from the connection point of the bottom half of the seat and the back half of the seat. From my understanding it is a plastic/leather sound. Is there any way to treat that? I bought some liquid leather products to soften the seat leather and i hope that this will do the trick. Any suggestion is welcome! Thanks!

If you do a search of the forum you will find quite a few topics on the subject. Here is a link to one article http://www.z4-forum.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=9169 hope it helps :)

i will take my seat out and search for what is mentioned in the topic you provided! Thanks alot for the heads up!

Hi vendar,I had the same on mine, used to really spoil the drive :( I tried lots of things & had just about given up.when I took it in to have the seat bolster repaired I asked the guy there-he gave me a pice of black foam which I cut a strip & placed it along where the plastic meet the leather & bingo Bango no squeak  forgot to write this up with pics but that was 3 months ago & not one squeak :D hope that helps.

can you provide me with some pics or a video of where you placed the foam? From what i've read in the topic swiftly showed me most people used lubricants to deal with this problem? Is there any particular type of grease i need to use? Any type of grease i must not use? I am new to the DIY stuff and don't know much yet
so any help is welcome!

I found my drivers seat squeaks with that plasticky leather noise when the height adjust is set as low as it can go...raise the seat up a touch and...no noise!
