Driver's Seat Squab clicking

Hi all, the lefthand side of the smallest section of the seat squab (by the seatback) has developed a very annoying click.

(Not my car but shows what I mean)

It happens most when going over bumps and around right-handers. It feels as though the seat section is clicking downwards, moving by maybe half a cm. The issue is that it makes the seat lopsided and rather uncomfortable.

Have any of you experienced this? Other models seem to have a similar sort of problem http://www.bimmerfest.com/forums/showthread.php?t=65122

My floor panel clicks under the seat some times.
Push the seat all the way forward and push your hand down on the carpet where the seat was and see if it's the same noise.
