Drivers Seat refurb

I wasn't happy with the state of my drivers seat (and attempted repair the previous owner did) so I decided to have it refinished.

Not cheap but very happy with the results. Had it done by the Furniture Clinic.

Looks a different colour in the pics but that was because the sun was shining.

Looks good.

Now you must practise the PVR method of getting in and out 8)

That looks great mate. We'll have to meet up at shite rose one of these weekends and compare! Whoever did that, keep his number!

Was that a refurb or did they replace the lot? How much was it if you don't mind me asking, looks like a fantastic job.

Same question if that's ok... My leather is looking great given the age of the car but depending on price I could be very interested - Champagne nappa wasn't designed for durability!

Looks great! I'm going to have a go with the Scuffmaster Gliptone range of prodycts and dyes and see how it goes. Everyone seems to rage about them.

Gliptone kit should result in similar, although it's you doing the work of course.

First thing he did was took the top layer off - I assume it was the sealant / clear coat then he applied about 4 layers of colouring to get it to match the other seat then about another 5 layers of sealant.

He charged £150.

There is another company on detailing world that said they could do it for £100 / £120 but they didn't respond to any of my email / PM's about booking it in.

I didn't watch him all the time as I was supposed to be 'working from home'

He did have some sort of sand paper out.

I read somewhere it is best to have the structure of the bolster redone at the same time or it will wear again. suspect this is a pricey job though.
