Drivers seat 'loose'

HI guys,

Strange one really. In certain situations, when accelerating from a standing start, I can feel, when seated, the seat 'move' / 'knock' ever so slightly. It's minor but it's annoying the hell out of me! It does't generate a noise and doesn't seem to be affected by seat position either? Thoughts?

Cheers!

Anthony.

Yeah i've checked them - they're all tight.

I've also noticed the plastic trim behind the 'hoops' isn't sitting quite flush on the drivers side. Is there anything underneath this trim that may be the cause?

Driving me insane! :x

Just been out in it. It feels like a tiny bit of play in the seat as you pull away (area is basically on the seat base). But when inspecting the seat everything's tight as a drum - literally!

Maybe it's normal? I hope so!

*Edit - Also I have full BMW warranty so hope whatever the issue is, is covered!*

*Edit - Someone on FB group suggested possible worn bushings as is common on the Z3? Strange as can't find anyone ever suffering this on a Z4! Mine's only done 23k too :( *

I have it as well I took the seat out tightened all bolts I could find greased all moving parts replaced seat thought that had fixed it for a while but it is back not as bad as it was but it is still there, only the drivers seat never felt it in passenger seat?

Annoying isn't it?

What are your thoughts on to what's causing it?

Have you got BMW warranty? I have so am tempted to book it in and get them to hopefully sort it.

Seat base plus bolts securing to the subframe were replaced at a cost of £750.

Now resolved.
Oh dear, thanks for the info though, did they tell you what was wrong with the subframe.
