Drivers footwell - is this normal?

Bit of a strange question, but I've just acquired a Z4 (details in Newbies section) and I keep catching my clutch foot on a piece of plastic trim in the driver's footwell. Before I make an idiot of myself complaining to the dealer, could anyone confirm whether the photo below is typical or is something out of place? I've tried pushing and pulling the trim but it won't budge easily and I don't want to break something :(

Not normal Stuart, that needs looking at. Maybe a result of a botched job to route some ICE or speed cam detector cables over to the fuse box on the glove comp??

I can't believe I just did this (or that I am admitting to it) but I actually tried to brush that bug of my screen!

Yeah, one night around 1 am I smacked that bug on my screen. :ant:

If I had none the little bug would cause so much problems, I would not have asked to have it added :D

I would of added the bug in lots of places. In fact, would be great in the sig....now to figure out how that works

I just spent 20 minutes comparing your footwell to mine. Mine looks nothing like yours. It doesn't even seem like the same car. I just realized why. I have a left hand drive!

Ok, i just looked at my passenger side footwell. The flap that you catch your foot on seems to be some sort of access point. Just press it down and it should lock into place. :ant:

These little bugs already cost me a monitor. :ant:

And a few years back someone did a similar commercial where a roach was crawling around the screen and many people broke their TVs.
:ant:

For anyone who's still interested (and for future reference) I popped in to the dealer and they fixed it - it should be like this:

This is what mines looks like so you can have a little comparison. Looks like they got it out of the way so your foot won't catch on it, but not all the way back up in there.

AJ, I hate to tell you, but they stuck yours on the other side of the car too! Time for another trip to the dealer with some photo evidence!

looks like the light's disappeared too....
flyboyaj needs to take a pic of the other side of the driver's footwell in order to compare with StuartM. Left Hand drive vs. Right Hand drive
