Drivers Exterior door handle - difficult to open

Hi all

I have done a search but can't seem to find a definitive answer

When I pull the door handle up to open the door it travels almost to the extent of the movement before it finally opens the door. It almost feels like it is holding on for dear life but relutctantly lets go at the last minute

The passenger side is very smooth and opens easily about half way up the extent of the travel

I have read about the bowden cable and that this may be stretched (seems sensible) - could there be another culprit though before I start spending money on parts that may only need adjustment rather than replacement?

put your hand under the handle then as you pull it slide your hand towards the back of the car so you are opening it on the edge of the handle and it should open every time...

Mine does it on the passenger side, but my mate has it on the drivers door.. If its a struggle would get it looked at as it gets worse the hotter it is so coming into summer you will notice it more
