Drivers door will not unlock

Just wondering if anyone else is having this problem with the drivers door button sticking when trying to unlock either on the key fob or by using the key in the lock. I am certain I have read there is a company in Workington, Cumbria who sell the parts to resolve the issue but cannot find the relevant link. Can anyone advise at all?

is your door opening at all? i have a similar thing on my passenger door, cannot open it from inside or out.
 
Intermittent door unlocking problems, particularly in very hot or cold weather can be down to the actuator mechanism but 90% chance it's the GM5 module that controls locking and related functions like windows etc. The modules are coded to the car so cannot simply be swapped. Removal and repair by post is the best option at about £35 instead of £400 for the part plus re-coding which can only be done by BMW as the GM5 is on the security system.
