Driver window

so today when i went out for a drive my driverside window would not go down it would go down but only for less than a secound, the passenger window worked perfectly though, i shut off the car and turned it back on a couple time and nothing so i go for a drive with the a/c on and when i got back home my driver side window continued to work perfectly, what could have caused this? the drive was like 30 mins to an hour

Was it warm where you were and was the sun beating down onto the window?
The windows can sometimes stick to the rubber seals when it gets hot.
After driving for a bit the cold air can let the window operate as normal again.
