So everytime i try to make my window go up it just goes down. i thought i had a bad door window switch so i bought a new one and the same thing happens. only way it will go up is if i remove the door panel and reverse the wires it will then go up. Does anybody here know why it is doing this?

Hi. I had similar issue with mine and found out that the reason it was going straight back down after I raised the switch was it was due to the anti trap working
on the operation of the window. Had to remove the door card and get into the door itself and found that the side runner that guides the glass had got out of line and
there for as soon as the window reached that point it went straight back down!!
I had a flat ended tool and opened up the guide just a little and it was sorted.
Don't know if that's the same with you but its worth a look.

only thing is that when i reverse the wires from the inside it will go up without a problem.
where is the anti trap that you were talking about? is it on the left or right side?
here is the picture of the wires i was talking about. I circled it with yellow. if i reverse these wires then i can make my window go up.

I think its still to do with the anti trap. I believe this normally works by sensing an increase in power draw as the window meets resistance. Dont know where it is in the Z but it is only on the up circuit.
Reversing the wires as you have may bypass the sensor circuit as its only on the up therefore it will go up.
Have a hunt for this circuit on the forum or google or someone with knowledge may come along. It is most likely just a resistive circuit in the motor housing that detects increased current and cuts a cct via a diode so giving antitrap.
Your being confused by the reversed wiring which will by pass this as the motor assembly thinks its going down.
Easy way is get another motor if no one else has an idea.

thats actually the first thing i did was to buy another motor and it had the same problem. I will look into the anti trap. Thank you

As I said my experience is very limited but I would wire the motor correctly. Leave the door card off and then try the window watching for the point that it stops and goes back down.
Then while the window is down use a sturdy plastic tool preferably with the end like a slotted screwdriver, and prise the channel that the glass runs in apart to give it a little more
clearance and try the window again. See if it travels further this time and if so keep going up the channel giving the glass more freedom to move. The anti trap will send the window back down
as soon as it comes up against the slightest of resistance like in the case of kiddies fingers. Worth a go as I said because that was the problem with mine nothing to do with the motor.
I don't think you will find a particular part that's the anti trap its just resistance and only during closing for obvious reasons. Best of luck.
