Driver Side window not closing properly

Hi All

This is my first post and I am the very proud owner of a beautiful black 2005 plate Z4 2.2ltr.

All is amazing with the car part from one small niggle. There seems to be a gap between where the top of the window meets the roof on the driver side of the car. The gap is about 0.5cm but it is noticeable because when I drive it makes a whistling noise from the air and also when it rains the water trickles in down the inside of the window. Took it back to the indie seller that I got it from and he took the inside of the door panel out and said he couldn't see what was wrong but he said he adjusted the motor slightly so that it was further up to try and fix this. This made the window close a little bit more but still not as tight as the passenger side.

Does anyone know of this fault and it is infact the window or maybe the roof is slightly off at one side.

Any help would be great

Thanks

Garry

I'm guessing the regulator has been replaced and the glass hasn't been positioned correctly when putting back together.

Have a search on window adjustment/ regulator replacement. There are threads here that describe how to adjust the 2 screws through the bottom of the door to adjust the angle of the window and hopefully fix your issue. Its an easy DIY.

Mine had a similar problem. At the rear top corner it didn't seem to sit against the seal enough, alignment was perfect otherwise. My shut line on the drivers door was ever so slightly out (2005 Z4).

I adjusted the door striker plate (Male part of the lock) and this pulled the door into line and the window nicely up against the seal. No issues since.
