Reversing in the garage and I hit the side...it's just dangling now...fml

It cracked right off..wires only thinthing holding it. I'm hoping for an easy fix. Not in the mood to spend a few hundred bucks.

Like I need an entire new housing. Unless I can figure a way to reattach it. Search did not help^^^

(If you dont already know) I would recommend using coarse sand paper (220 grit) to rough up the surface. Then make sure you clean everything very well. Follow the instructions on the epoxy very well and make sure you cover the entire joint. Also apply it to as much surface area as possible.
As an experiment, you can also try adding some wire mesh as reinforcement. The glue will break at the weakest point so the reinforcement helps spread the load and help hold it together. Like this diagram:

Thanks for links man. He doesn't have epoxy instructions but good to know he used epoxy hoping my engineer bro can figure it out. And after it broke off at first it wasn't very loose but after playing with it the mirror its much looser. Wires probably got loose or something but I can't even drive it right now with it on since I'd flap everywhere and damage door. Think better option than welding for now even though Im friends with a welder. Don't think I have to repaint mine like the guy in the thread did we'll see.

Bro took it off so I can still drive it for now, hoping he can fix it either this weekend or next. He doesn't think the epoxy will fix it tho since the way it broke I don't know..
He's worried about the piece attached to the car...Ya he's going to remove it when trying to repair it, but he says its like all one piece so he doesn't think it will work.

Leave it off and save some fuel 
Its not too difficult to remove the whole unit, 3 bolts from what I remember. You could try plastic welding it together but it wont be very strong.
You can get a replacement from stealers but probably cheaper to track a replacement down on eBay and swap over your cover if the paint isn't damaged.

Used JB KwikWeld. Used all of it. As you can see in the pic I tore off that black piece to expose that broken piece more.
Hasn't broke off yet lol. Rather spend $8 first to repair it before $150+ on a new one.
