Hello All,

I believe I have developed a center bearing issue. When I am accelerating, exactly at 30 mph with car has a vibration which feels like you are driving over "rumble" strips. Has anyone else experienced this? If so was it a matter of center bearing and flexi disc replacement?

PS I have nearly 190K miles so I expect something is wearing out!

Hi J. I think you may well be right, but before you pull it all apart, perhaps just worth checking rear wheel balance in case you have lost a weight.
I have had just this effect on the sprite, with a vibration that affected the whole car, just in one place (speed) at Thruxton. I checked everything, sent the prop for balancing etc, but in the end rebalancing the wheels cured it. Just a thought.

I am not looking forward to being under the car all day so I will verify that it is not something simple !
