Dream vacation turned nightmare

Well, had been planning this trip to Bermuda since last January. It's an island that should be visited by getting around, since there are so many nice places to see. However, you can't hire a car there so one has to get a scooter (moped), which I did. Unfortunately, on my third day I was run over by a taxi cab driven by a day dreaming jerk! Needless to say, the cab won that encounter. The next day, I had to fly back home because I've temporarly lost my mobility; fractured left elbow and severely bruised leg and shoulder :(

The worst part is that I won't get to drive my Z for a few months :x , since it's a manual shift.

Did however get a chance to take a few pics during the first few days.

Some South shore shots:

And the ever popular cruise ships that stop by the West coast harbour:

Not nice that injury. There just happened to be a program about scooters on the TV last night, 90% of people are not insured to ride them, and you are NOT insured if you don't wear a helmet.

Scary stories about insurance nightmares as well. Good to hear that you got back ok though.

not a good story, but some nice pictures...

English sports shop and Irish linen store though

hope you heal quickly

Not nice under any circumstances, really makes it worse when it's on your leisure time!

As others have said, hope you're up and around quickly

Yes indeed, it's a very, very safe place to visit (crime wise, just look out for those taxi drivers!). One week is definitely not too long. It was my second trip there and I plan on returning next June, since I've got some ''unfinished business'' to attend

Some nice pics indeed. the seas look a little bit angry tho, haha

Yeah, nothing worse than not being able to drive/i know what its like to be sitting around recouperating(bit boring) :headbang:
