After all these years, a pensioner has at last taken delivery of my dream car :rofl: .........a 2008 Z4 2.5l Si SE in Sterling Grey with red leather interior........ really sound motor but just a bit lacking in TLC which "she" will now get in abundance.
As I get going I am sure that I will be drawing on the wealth of knowledge that appears in these pages, on every aspect of looking after and developing my pride and joy.
I am pretty sure that the first topics that I need to address are 1) cleaning up lightly corroded split rim wheels, 2)fabric hood cleaning and reproofing and 3)the great "to run flat or conventional" tyre debate because, I will need to change at least the fronts in about 2.5K miles.
Still, I have the winter to sort out the the cosmetics so that I can enjoy the freedom of the road as soon as the spring breaks.......
 
Welcome. I have just done the same thing - just not quite retired yet! It sounds like a lovely motor - you should post some pictures. :D

I have been looking for the "right" car for a couple of months and believe that I have found it. Has done 34,400 miles so is barely "run in" .
Hope you enjoy yours as much as I am enjoying mine!

Get yourself to some of the runs and you'll broaden your Z4 ownership experience - look up the National and come along!

The Forum fits nicely with retirement too - you'll love it.
