Here goes and yes I know this has been covered numerous times but can't seem to find anyone with the same problem.

I have recently replaced the Yaw sensor on my son's 07 2.0 SE after the 3 lights fault and all was good, I noticed that the carpet was damp and the sound proofing part sodden hence the sensor fault.
Dried everything out and thought all was OK, the car is up for sale and as someone was coming to look at it a few days later I gave it a good clean inside and out.
Prospective buyer came and all of the front carpet was damp, no sale. Removed the seat and all is wet again.
Dried it out once more and all good until today after rain it's wet again, haven't got a clue where it can be coming from, the bottom of the door is dry and can't see where it's coming from.

Any help gratefully received so that I can get it all dry and sold as he's bought something else.

I’d rule out the door membrane before you do anything else

Open the door and pour water down the window to see if any water appears at the bottom inner of the door

99/100 it’s that- then get some Tec7 and reseal the membrane

Thanks, I'll give it a go.
Just a thought but I have also removed the driver's side bung to see if that is blocked but seems clear, could the passenger side cause this even though the passenger carpet is totally dry, it's previously had the roof motor replaced and moved to the boot?

The pockets where the roof motor sits still get blocked up… usually the first sign is a wet shoulder when cornering

But seriously check them too- drop the roof and look directly downwards into the space where the roof rams are- you’ll see water if it’s there

I’m still saying door membranes but report back when you have more info

Cheers for the advice Bigwinn, it was the door membrane, it didn't seal properly when I replaced the window regulator.
Now got a clean dry carpet for the next owner, roof voids are also clear.

On another note and rather than start a new post, the revers parking sensors seem to have stopped working, nothing has been messed with so presuming it's the fuse?

Not necessarily

The sensors fail

With the car not running and ignition on put the car into reverse

Put your ear next to each sensor listen for clicking. If one isn’t clicking that’s your problem one

Does the system beep once when you put it in reverse?

Checked the sensors by putting into reverse with ignition on and putting a screwdriver to each one, clicking can be heard from every sensor, just no beep when put in reverse or close to an object :headbang:

Does the sounder under the dash work/is it connected?

You usually get an audible beep when selecting reverse

I’d check that next. The pdc unit appears to be working as you have clicks at the sensors

Pop the under dash plastic off (3 screws) and it’s secured to that drivers side

Hi,
I have disconnected the sounder and get 12v so presuming the sounder has now packed up

2nd hand speaker bought for £10 and all fixed, thanks for your help

Another day and another problem, battery was totally flat last week so charged it up but now the heater fan has stopped, AC and rear demister, there is heat so I know the heater matrix is fine, read something about "Transport Mode", could this be the issue?

Definitely. Where are you?

Bit far from me sadly.
But plenty of people have Scanner 1.4 which can reset it in about 2 minutes.
Hopefully you'll find someone nearby.
