DRAGON'S TAIL MEET (26 May)

Hi everyone,

Trying to get a meet/run on the The Dragon's Tail for early April. So anyone interested??? :driving:

CHECK IT OUT @: http://www.tailofthedragon.com/

Have fun! I was there last August - The Coupe is very well suited for that kind of driving - shoulders and arms were a litlle sore afterwards however - but that was after about two hours of aggressive mountain driving that included the Dragon!

I did some research on the TOTD website and found this: http://www.tailofthedragon.com/dragon_whentoride.html

Perhaps it might be better to do this in early May, to avoid any potentially bad weather and so that the drive is "greener" and more scenic ???

Let me know what you guys think.

The working-plan is to meet on the weekend of May 3-4. How does that sound Ovrkll and philDZ4?

Gotta try and make homecoming this year... would be able to do a second run on the dragon at that time as well.

There's actually a better route that has less traffic nearby. If you guys are interested in that too, I can get the route from one of the guys at work.

Thanks, it would be greatly appreciated!

FNI - great to have you join us!

I'll post more info as things develop. So far that makes 7 confirmations, so it's looking pretty good so far!

Been doing some more planning. Apparently, there are going to be two other groups at the dragon during the weekend of may 3-4. An Audi group and the 6th annual Mini's run.

The good news is that the Audi group will be be on the Blue Ridge Skyway to avoid the Mini's!

As for the Mini's it looks like as long as we run the dragon in the morning we should be okay. It might even be nice to check out there cars as well. Once we finish the Dragon we could head out onto the Cherhola Skyway, in the afternoon after lunch.

Also, I was thinking if enough people are interested we could stay overnight and do some additional runs on Sunday, and explore the other less traveled roads. I know this may not be feasible for those coming from far away, so the main runs would remain on Saturday. Jut a thought.

Anyway, all and any feedback would be appreciated!
